My message: Critics of the Oneness doctrine mispresent in one way or another the teachings of the modalists.

To have a good grasp of what modalistic monarchians teach like the United Pentecostal Church, you are advised to obtain a copy of the book entitled "The Oneness of God" by Rev. David K. Bernard.

My message: samantalang ang iba naman ay mga naging lider ng mga iglesya o kongregasyon noong mga unang siglo. Isa sa mga naging Early Church Fathers ay si Polycarp na naging direktang disipulo ni apostol Juan. Ipinapalagay ng mga tagapagturo ng doktrinang “Oneness” na itong si Polycarp ay pumapanig sa kanilang katuruan. Ngunit sa palagay mo ba ay sulat ito ng isang taong naniniwala sa “iisang” Persona ng Diyos na may tatlong “manifestations” (o pagpapahayag)?

The Father was expressed among men in the Son, and the Son became the Spirit to come into men. The Father is in the Son, and the Son became the Spirit—the three are just one God.”[1]
At sa isang banda ay “Illogical Oneness” naman:
“The Son who prays is the Father who listens…”.[2]
“The Son is the Father, and the Son is also the Spirit. Otherwise, how could these three be one God?”"[3]
Ano naman itong tinatawag illogical oneness? Sila naman ay ang mga naniniwalang si Jesus diumano ay ang Ama at ang Espiritu sa pagka-Diyos ngunit tinatawag na Anak ng Diyos o Anak ng Tao naman sa Kanyang pagkakaroon ng laman (o incarnation). My message: May mga “Oneness,” na kung tawagin ay Patripassians (pinaniniwalaan na ang Ama ay naghirap din sa krus sapagkat siya ay nasa Anak) at ang isa naman ay Rationalistic o Dynamic Monarchians (naniniwalang si Jesus bilang Ama ay naging Anak at bilang Anak ay naging Banal na Espiritu). Ang una ay pinaniniwalaan na ng mga heretikong tulad nina Noetus of Smyrna, Praxeas, Epigonus, Cleomenes, Calistus, at Beryllus. Sina Witness Lee at ang mga taga-Lord’s Recovery na kung tawagin halimbawa ay “church in …,” aminin man nila ito o hindi, ay pumapanghawak sa dalawang pananaw na ito ng modalism. Noong ako’y dumadalo pa sa pananambahan ng isang Christian fellowship sa University Belt ng C.M. Recto ay malimit kong madaanan ang isang grupong umaawit at nagpapalakpakan. Buong akala ko’y lehitimong Evangelical Christians sila hanggang mapansin ko ang maliliit na nakasulat sa ibaba ng kanilang karatula na nagsasabing “United Pentecostal Church” (UPC) Malimit na sinasabi ng mga miyembro ng “Oneness” na sila ay mga “born again” at maaaring ayaw magpatawag na “Oneness.” Ano ba ang grupong ito? Kailan sila nagsimula? Sino-sino ba sa ating bansa ang mga tinatawag na “Oneness” o “The Jesus Only” Churches? Bakit sila tinatawag na “Oneness” Pentecostalism?
