My message:	I stumbled upon this site while trying to find phrases from the late '50's and early 60's. Reading over your site really gave me a laugh, I remember so many of the phrases & words/things/gadgets etc. that I hadn't thought of for years! There is one phrase however, that I never did get what it meant, maybe you know it. It was in a song (forget the name of it or the singer) and the phrase is 'put on some trash', referring to a guy that was trying to attract a girls' attention. Hmmmm Thanks for putting your site 'out there'...........it's really 'far out'! Jay

My message:	Hey there guys! Thanks for posting your website! I loved it! In return, I thought I could give you a glimpse into my generation (1983): I still say emergency brake...especially if I'm in an automatic. I'd say I use that & parking brake about 50-50. People still say unmentionables, although usually in a joking way. Everyone my age would know what that means though. I like supper too. I had a culture clash with my Great-Aunt Harriet (there's a name you don't hear much these days either!) when she invited me to "dinner" and then called me at 2:30 to see why I hadn't showed up!
