I'm doubting you remember me - when I lived in Eastchester I was barely really there, but I have a clear memory of listening to you audition for a school play, must have been fifth grade. You were absolutely breathtaking. there was silence for a while afterwards and then Mr. Richter, the music teacher, said "did anyone else have chills going down their spine?" I had no idea what you'd been doing until now and it's wonderful to hear that both the beauty and soul that came through when you sang are something that you continued to develop and share with the world.
As a Jewish girl I wouldn't normally be looking to buy a Christmas album but I have a newly adopted teen-age Christian daughter. I didn't get the Christmas thing perfect last year - I forgot the tree needs an angel and she said what we were missing was music. I had painful images of hours of department store Christmas tunes.
